I’m at home for Thanksgiving myself. I finished my night shifts this morning, so I wasn’t in a position to drive very far. And the entire family lives in Florida, while I’m in Tennessee. So I roasted a couple of turkey drumsticks, mashed up some potatoes, and made some garlic green beans for dinner.
We lost my mother last December and my older brother passed in June so the family is a little out of sorts right now. We will be getting together in mid-December when I have the time to take off from work for a week.
Sorry to hear that, I hope things come back together for your family. My parents are still doing OK, but I think I will have to move to Texas soon to take care of them, they are both in their eighties. Thankfully my job does not require me to physically be in the office, but as it is my boss works out of the Austin office so he actually would like me to move down there.
Sorry to hear. We lost three family members this last year, including my dad. It hasn’t been great times, but now I feel there is a chance, in the Trump years.
