Joe Bastardi is a good forecaster. And of course, cold weather does move east from Siberia across North America.

I’ve seen a lot of snowflakes the last few weeks.

Maybe.

Maybe not.

All I know is that after almost 3 feet of snow in two days, the temperatures in the 40’s and 50’s that are forecast for next week will certainly be welcome.

Global Warming sux

Don't you just hate it, when all this global warming causes all this global cooling?

” The United States could be in for a long, cold winter as snow cover in Siberia reaches its highest point for this time of year in decades, the father of the ‘Siberian Snow Theory’ has warned.”

Well, it sure ain’t happening here in Colorado: been dry as a bone for weeks and 5 days ago the high was 80 degrees.

I wish we’d get some good solid cold and snow. The local ecosystem really needs it.

Here in the Midwest it’s already too late for an early winter because we’ve usually had snow by now and it just got cold last Friday.

Bastardi is THE weather guru. Called our 3ft storm last year, 2 years ago he apologized profusely because the storm he predicted went 40 miles east. He is the man

It’s been pretty warm here in Idaho. But... Something is going on. Humidity has been very high. I predict a huge snow fall this year.

And while the cold blast could strike anywhere among North America, Asia, or Europe,

I guess Africa is in the clear?

Then for your area, I offer my prayers.

For mine, I hope for freakishly warm weather and NO SNOW.

I have *no* desire for a repeat of last year’s one-day four foot blizzard.

I’m getting too old to be out shoveling pitiful little pee spots for the dogs and digging the goats out of their shed.

It. Was. Hell.

:)

We have an awful case of dry, and so warm the bugs are flourishing.

We’re between a/c and heater, but it’s mighty cold in the mornings.

Bastardi is one; but, other real scientists who make serious coin predicting weather months and years ahead have been predicting this specific year of weather and much colder to come.

“I’d like some serious cold to kill off the insects and vermin, not to mention some rain.”

Who are you calling vermin??

P.S. It’s been relatively warm here, too. We have cool-season lawn grasses here and they have managed to grow, a little, most all winter recent years, even with the occasional 0F night thrown in.
