That was my favorite rifle...Shoots where you aim it...Used it to drop white tail, Mule deer and antelope...Dropped an Elk with a 270...First buck with a 44 magnum...Killed deer also with with a 35, 16 ga., buckshot, 30-30, 243 and a couple other calibers...Felled an 8 inch pine tree with a 375 H&H...Owned a 444 and a few others not mentioned...First rifle was a British 303...
Still have a soft spot in my heart for the 6mm...
I was a HUGE fan of the .308 Savage, deer didn’t just die, they died with extreme malice - chest broadside would leave a hole on its way out I could put my head into.
