UN Ambassador Danny Danon sent an urgent letter to the Security Council members in which he revealed the smuggling route from Irans Revolutionary Guards to Hezbollah Iran is smuggling weapons and ammunition to Hezbollah through commercial flights from the Islamic Republic to Lebanon, according to intelligence information revealed by Israels UN ambassador to the Security Council, which was cleared for publication on Tuesday. UN Ambassador Danny Danon sent an urgent letter to the Security Council members in which he revealed the smuggling route from Irans Revolutionary Guards to Hezbollah: The Iranian Al-Quds Force packs weapons, ammunition and missile technology to Hezbollah in suitcases and puts them on Mahan Air flights. Danon added that these planes fly directly to the airport in Lebanon or Damascus and from there the weapons are transferred on the ground to Hezbollah. The UN envoy wrote that Iran continues to violate Security Council resolutions, including Resolutions 1701 and 2231. Iran arms terrorist organizations in the Middle East and works to undermine stability in the entire region, he added. |

Probably allowed in the secret agreement.
So what?
Hezbollah is at the frontline against ISIS/Qaeda jihadi “rebels” in Syria and Lebanon.
Tell me why we should worry are about small arms and ammunition going into this fight?
If Israel itself is attacked by these conventional arms they have plenty firepower to react. Missiles can be halted by Iron Dome.
Without Hezbollah the Sunni headchoppers would rule already over Syria snd Lebanon. The Christians in these countries and the Russians know this.
Hezbollah isn’t good, but it is a much much lesser evil than it’s Sunni jihadi opponents.
If true, then it is no longer a civilian flight, but a military shipment.
FReepers read reports on this months ago when Iran started it’s flights around the Middle East.
Yes - the difference is the activist approach now taken by Israel, not only on this issue, but on many others.
In the past, Israel, for many reasons, did not go “on the attack” in the UN. This has changed.
Obama backed America into a corner with his Iran deal, probably gonna end up in a war now.
I guess you were asleep during the summer of 2006 when Hezbollah fired rockets into Isreal citites
The enemy of my enemy...
...gets moved down a few notches on my $#!+ list.
Hezbollah has until the cessation of hostilities in Syria to reform itself into an Israel-accommodating organization. After that, I cannot give any assurance that Bibi & Trump will grant any mercy beyond killing them last.
No I wasn’t asleep. But we would be blind if we think that weakening Hezbollah/Syria/Iraq/Iran vs. Sunni jihadis would gain us anything. If I were so brazen I’d ask were you asleep on 9/11?
ping
Yeah that was in the early 1980’s. Ghadafi was ou foe back then, too.
Our nemesis right now are the Sunni jihadis which Hezbollah is actively fighting against. We would be utterly stupid to fight Hezbollah now, while they fight our most deadly enemies. Again, Israel can defend itself against direct attacks. But leave the Shias/Alavis/Christians a free hand to destroy the Sunni jihadis.
If you bring up historical terrorist attacks against Americans... what to make of Neocons like John Bolton and the Israelis working hand in hand with the Islamo-Marxist terrorist cult of “People’s Mujaheddin of Iran” (MKO/PMOI) which killed dozens of US civilians and soldiers during the 1970’s? Also what to make of Israel openly admitting of supporting the al-Qaeda terrorists of “al-Nusra” in Syria?
Such a straw man argument Isreal faces 9/11 style attacks everyday save your Paloecon nationalism for someone who really cares
Israel faces 3000+ deaths daily?
Hyperbole much?
Then again one is used to this from the neocon Israel-first crowd.
I repeat myself... Israel is within it’s right to defend itself if attacked directly by terrorists.
They are however dead wrong to f***k up neighbouring countries and our security by giving any aid and comfort to jihadi headchopper groups as they have admitted of doing with al-Nusra terrorists.
Yeah, paint me crazy... but we have much much more to fear from Israel’s ‘buddy’ Turkey, Saudi Arabia and ISIS/al-Qaeda than from Iran and Hezbollah.
Israeli threat perception is very different from actual US interests.
I know that admitting or realizing this is very difficult for many Conservatives in the US.
