The Left closed the insane asylums (but there are still psych wards in hospitals and prisons) because of shock treatments, pills, and the Titicut Follies documentary. Then they blamed the crazies on the streets on President Ronald Reagan.

Today the APA says that homosexualists, crossdressers, and others with abnormal sexual interests are mentally normal and their manias are not only tolerated by PROMOTED in primary schools.

Try as the libs do to blame Reagan (even as governor of California in 67, he didn’t have the power to influence national policy).

Tell tale quote from the 1984 article:

“The discharge of mental patients was accelerated in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s in some states as a result of a series of court decisions that limited the commitment powers of state and local officials.”
