Why would someone spend $50K - $200K for a Porsche and not learn to pronounce it.

Even the TV ads mispronounce “Volkswagen.”

The dictionary agrees with you. In my freshman year, first week, we newbies from different parts of the country argued over it. We had CT, Pittsburgh, LA, Florida and New Orleans represented. We all pronounced differently. The guy from New Orleans had the first dictionary entry with (peek'-ihn)
