You’re being sarcastic, I take it? Texting is handy if talking is difficult or not possible. It’s also very useful in areas with weak cell reception. A text will often go through when voice will not.

My flipphone’s texting, email and Net access are disabled. No camera. I have a Nikon for that. No data plan. All I do with it is make/take phone calls. I have computers at home, so when I leave, I want to be unplugged.
