There are no more hollow, meaningless words than these yet a huge swath of people seem to think they are profound, even magical.

An individual or group committed to equality...in a competitive sport? What does this mean? All games should end in ties? The average height of teams' players must match? Nobody can practice 5 mins more than the next?

'Diversity' was always vacuous since it's a fancy name for random persons, places, things, or events. Choosing one of each color crayon or one of each flavor of ice cream is not diversity, it's simply a conscious choice of superficially different or contrasting items.
