Based on the 27-0 score, most people believed that the late September Thursday Night Football game between the Patriots and the Texans accomplished nothing more than Bill Belichick once again proving his brilliance, as he annihilated a then 2-0 football team with his third string quarterback. Unbeknownst to all until now, that early season matchup accomplished perhaps an even more impressive feat by becoming the only primetime NFL game this year that did not decline in ratings from last year.

#BoycottNFL!!!
Games I’ve watched all season: 0
Poor Colin
NFL went to hell when it banned RUSH for life.
ESPN too.
#BoycottNFL AND their sponsors. Write and tell them why if you have the motivation.
Go Pats!!!! America’s Team - for Trump!!!!!
I have been a loyal long term fan but will admit that the energy to watch it is just not there. the kapernick thing just tipped it over really; commercials, commercials, flags, flags, its not a game anymore you can enjoy. I think the concussion thing also did some things negative for the game.
I had it on in the background and saw that debacle before halftime. The refs reminded me of the media letting Hillary getting away with everything and screwing Trump.
Turned it off. NFL is trash, run by idiots. It peaked in the 90’s, now it’s on the way to becoming Sarcastaball.
I normally only watch the Super Bowl (and only when the Giants are in it), but this past Sunday I turned to the Giants game to get the score and understood exactly why they are losing viewers: There was a commercial break, and when they returned there was one play - a penalty was called, and they went back to commercials. Pathetic.
My in-laws would watch foreign soccer games where the score wasn’t up on the screen; I guess they figured you’d have to leave it on, and it would occasionally appear in the corner...at least you weren’t watching commercials.
I watched the NFL yesterday — for a few seconds while changing channels. I will be sure to skip over it next time. Haha
Seriously, I have no interest in this gaudy spectacle.
Ditto
Yup. Watched the Giants beat the Eagles the other day with my son in law, he’s an Eagles fan, bless his heart :) The only game I watched all season. Otherwise I’m just not following the NFL like I used to.
The NFL “games” are in reality a long string of advertisements interspersed with a few moments here and there of football. Who has time to spend their Sunday afternoon watching advertisements? Most of us have much better things to do.
Are the Patriots the new “America’s Team”? I assumed the Cowboys-Eagles thriller was the sole exception after seeing the headline.
Din’t watch the Monday night game NOR did I watch any games on Sunday. A true Packer fan, I’ve lost all interest and it has NOTHING to do with the Packers dismal play.
So much TV in general today seems aimed 1) at unassimilated minorities who don’t read at all, and 2) childless Americans of all stripes, who aren’t dealing with children and the work/activities that come with them. No criticism of the latter, just what I’m seeing; a further extension of that was a “Halloween party” for dogs at my town’s newly-constructed “bark park”. It is a mile north of a soccer field that fills with foreign kids; an alternative for Americans to play with their “kids”...
I am a huge nfl fan - seahawks, bills, broncos.
I was listening to XM satellite radio last week, and the latest NFL theory is that their fans are watching on mobile (not yet full monetized) so they are actually ok.
It is the same utter confusion that allows the nfl to tell players it is ok to disrespect the flag, and bud lite to do liberal commercials.
As much as it pains me to say it, the Dallas Cowboys are America’s Team.
Say what you will about Jerry Jones, but he called his players together and read them the riot act. Any of you pull this stuff on my stage and you’re outta here like poo from a goose.
I tried ignoring Pat’s game. My mind kept shouting, “How they doin?” “How they doin?” Turned game on.
But BOYCOTT any game without PATS. Ignore ads any buy nothing whatever.
One little TV on for ONE team only...NO purchases whatever.
That’s an effective boycott, from one point of view.
Go Pats.
Screw the NFL(e)
