Earth is going through a routine, periodic magnetic pole reversal. I have heard this reversal comes every 200,000 years or so, and can be achieved in as short as 100 years. We ate going through that. I have always wondered how mich radiation exposure we will get anpd how this all effects climate. I guess we are in the process of finding out.
