Angry Australian Pensioner Shoots Burglar in Bottom With Bow and Arrow After Botched Break-In

An angry Australian pensioner shot a burglar in the bottom with a bow and arrow after he broke into his home.

The man confronted the thief and shot him with the weapon as he tried to escape following the botched break-in.

The 68-year-old homeowner, who lives with his wife in Wattle Grove, in south-west Sydney, discovered the burglar had stolen cash and a handbag from a bedroom in the house.

He caught the thief as he was trying to escape in the couple’s Nissan 4x4 which was parked in the garage, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The intruder then got out the car and tried to run away over the fence, but was shot in the bottom by the homeowner.

Police are now hunting for the alleged burglar, who is believed to be white and in his 30s, and have urged him to seek medical help.

Detective Inspector Dean Johnstone said investigations are ongoing into whether the man who shot the arrow had committed an offence. He urged others not to confront home intruders.

Police said the crime, which happened at about 5.20pm on Sunday, November 6, appeared to be opportunistic.

Watch, they will charge the homeowner with attempted murder, the thief will come forward to testify against the guy as well as file a lawsuit against him.

One huge reason NOT to move to Australia if Hillary gets elected. It is hard to believe the Aussies put up with having their guns taken away. Bow and arrows may be next, followed by kitchen knives.

In the UK and many commonwealth countries you do not have a right to use an offensive weapon, even against a burglar. This guy will be lucky if he is not charged with a crime. Mostly because the burglar was running away and no longer a physical threat to the homeowner. Justice, common sense do not apply when weapons are involved in many countries.
