The presidential race may be tightening, but Democrats are convinced they have an Election Day ace-in-the-hole: Hillary Clinton's ground game. They're confident it will withstand Donald Trumps late surge in key battleground states. Thats according to The POLITICO Caucus a panel of activists, strategists and operatives in 11 swing states, seven of which are seeing significant early- and absentee-voting operations. In those seven states where large numbers of voters are expected to cast their ballots before Election Day Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin more than three-quarters of Democrats think their party has done a better job turning out key voters thus far.

If not, the BLM protests will be nothing at compared to what's about to happen. I would guess about 10,000 to every BLM member and a jelluva lot more pissed off.
Ground game with a dozen people at her rallies
trumps people are motivated! We don’t need rides to the polls or free cellphones. We are in it to win it!
It means going out and bussing people to the polls. The software running the GOP GOTV for Romney crashed on Election Day.
Yeah, that is the democrat ground game to a T. Also bribery with box lunches, ciggies and booze.
Hillary has been “having a nap” for the past 16 months, with her own campaign HIDING her because when she is not seen her numbers go up.
She has NO ground game.
What she does have is ONE VOTING MACHINE in EVERY KEY PRECINCT in each of the fifty states — probably only about 200 machines total.
THAT WILL VOTE ONLY FOR HER!!!! FIND THEM NOW!!!
Well, to the contrary, in CO, the D’s kicked ass in early mail-in ballot returns—they were wiping us out. But we are even now in my county (CO’s swing county) and we are going to kick them down this weekend. R’s are voting late, especially this year.
The criticism of Trump’s ground game is, however, legitimate. Unlike 2 and 4 years ago, we do not have a victory office in the critical south part of my county. R’s have to roll up huge margins in my part of the county to win.
My observation is that most of the GOTV have been locally run efforts. We have been missing the infrastructure of call centers and the like, sign distribution centers and the like. So it’s been very hit and miss, depending on how aggressive local activists and county parties are.
We’re doing fine in my part of the county. But how it goes in the rest of the state we won’t know until Tuesday night.
So imo, HRC does have a 1-3% advantage in that regard.
Clinton Ground Game = Free MD 20/20 and a nice van ride to the polling place.
“I got inside word a week ago that this ground game is a complete Potemkin Village-that it consists of a bunch of highly paid consultants and no actual people on the ground. If this is all theyve got, get ready to celebrate Tuesday night.”
That’s not true in CO. They have people on the street and on phone banks all day in tight state legislative races. Just one example, George Soros has dropped 1.5 million into a single district attorney’s race in a single county. That pays for a lot of “volunteers.” They may knock off a very popular DA. Another example, $500,000 in a state house race! Those are typically $50,000 races where they are highly contested.
So we’re being badly outspent and a lot of that is going to ground game. We have a lot of volunteers, though. My group is going to knock off 20,000 GOTV calls in the last 10 days, minimum.
“Ground game” = ballot stuffing, poll fixing, absentee ballot fraud, vote fraud, cheating.
Just reporting what other insiders were told. Haven’t seen one person from either campaign here in AZ.
BTW, you just took the lead in CO a few minutes ago.
all the ground games in the world won’t sell dog food if the dogs refuse to eat it ...
The turnout you see at Trump’s rallies will translate into turnout for him on Election Day.
The turnout you see at Clinton’s rallies will translate into turnout for her on Election Day.
It’s really that simple.
You’re wrong :-)
They said the same thing about Cruz vs Trump - the delegates would disregard the voters and vote for someone other than the winner. It’s not that easy to go against the voters’ wishes - there are consequences. And as we saw, those fears never materialized.
It is the same with the electoral college. The electors will not go rogue. Many of them are aspiring local politicians, businessmen, etc. and would be in deep doo doo if they tried to pull something.
Also, with regard to all the various ‘concerns’ that the pundits are always harping on, such as lack of sophisticated ground game, a shake up in campaign staff, trending fake polls, the fear of a 269/269 tie, or a rogue electoral college...
This is all BS to give the pundits things to talk about and make their analysis seem relevant when it’s not.
What is important is the candidate’s message and how it is being received - nothing else matters. These pundits and pollsters love to think they are kingmakers who ‘vet’ the candidates and raise important issues and hold the candidates accountable.
Really they are nothing. They are like the weather forecasters who track storms and predict weather, except they are right as often as a broken clock. The wind blows all over the place and you basically know as much as you are going to know by looking out your window.
Ground game = fraud and cheating
