At least three U.S. military trainers in Jordan were fatally shot by security forces Friday when their vehicle failed to stop at the gate of a military base, the Jordanian military and a U.S. official said.

The U.S. service members came under “small-arms fire” as they approached a Jordanian training facility, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief media. Few other details about the incident were given, and the official said U.S. and Jordanian authorities were investigating the cause.

Earlier, a Jordan’s military said there was “an exchange of gunfire” after the vehicle’s driver ignored demands to stop outside an air base in southern Jordan. A Jordanian officer was injured, the statement said.

"...when their vehicle failed to stop at the gate of a military base, the Jordanian military and a U.S. official said."

They're lying.
No way experienced US Army personnel would refuse to stop at an installation gate.

“an exchange of gunfire”

Translation: Muslims shot Americans.

The Americans were probably unarmed, but it doesn’t say.

Don’t think it is a cut and dry. Way too many American troops have “jumped ship.” They didn’t announce anything about the trainers either rank or name. Back before the Kuwait occupation, a soldier in the camps started running through and tossing grenades into tents. It can happen And the media screws with everything they print, also.

The driver may have been a local.

But, Arab spring or something.

Three more families who have lost a loved one.

Pray for them and their families.

It doesn't say that they were US Army personnel. Who knows what the affiliation is of trainers that the US is supporting?

We need more information before drawing any conclusions.

I read further in the article and the Jordanians say they are investigating the possibility of a communications burp. The three killed were identified as US service members. Knowing the media as I do, it could be any branch of the military to include members of the civilian services like OSI, CID, or a number of possibilities. We may never know.

Thank you. It doesn’t appear like the drive byes even really care. They won’t identify anyone.
