FEDERAL JUDGE NOTES REFUGEE BIAS
http://www.catholicleague.org ^ | 11/02/2016 | Bill Donohue

Bill Donohue comments on a federal judge’s criticism of U.S. policy toward Syrian Christians:

Judge Daniel Manion of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit has voiced concern over the almost complete lack of Christians among the more than 10,000 Syrian refugees admitted into the United States over the past year.

Judge Manion, an Obama appointee, noted that the administration had reached the “laudable goal” of resettling 10,000 Syrian refugees in the United States.

“And yet,” he wrote, “of the nearly 11,000 refugees admitted by mid-September, only 56 were Christian.”

“It is well-documented,” the judge wrote, “that refugees to the United States are not representative of that war-torn area of the world. Perhaps 10 percent of the population of Syria is Christian, and yet less than one-half of one percent of Syrian refugees admitted to the United States this year are Christian.”

This is especially appalling given that ISIS continues to target Christians in Syria and throughout the Middle East. And as Judge Manion pointed out, “To date, there has not been a good explanation for this perplexing discrepancy.” Up until now, he notes, “many of us remain in the dark as a humanitarian catastrophe continues.”

There can be no moral justification for this kind of disparity. The Obama administration rabidly pursues diversity and inclusion in all of its public policies, but not when it comes to Islamic fanatics committing genocide against Christians—they are sent to the back of the refugee line. The next president must deal with this issue forthrightly, and with celerity.

Obama wants to knock Americans off thier high horse... if there was a group that could hurt our culture MORE he would bring them in.

Since the President seemingly has near total authority on how many refugees to admit, and which ones to admit, that means a President Trump could drastically cut down on refugee admittances all on his own.

The number of refugees admitted each year has gone from about 70,000 a year under Bush and Obama, to now 85,000 under Obama, and 110,000 for next year. 70,000 was far too many, but of course Bush is a leftist on immigration and therefore was completely worthless on almost all immigration-related matters. He never met a future Democrat he wouldn’t like to import from abroad.

If he wins, Trump should announce the new level going forward will be somewhere between zero and ten thousand, and he should see to it that of those who are admitted, as few as possible are Muslims.

And the USA should go back to the policy of determining whether or not the ‘refugee or immigrant’ could find work here. That was asked of my husband and me when we applied for him to get a working VISA, to come back with me to live here.

They aren’t refugees. They are an invading hoard of mostly military aged men, and they are not seeking the American Dream in the safety of our shores.

Agreed. Unfortunately the rules for “refugees” are different in that the (largely unenforced) measure against a regular immigrant becoming a public charge does not apply. Refugees can legally go on the public dole not long after the government imports them, and some self-serving, self-righteous, deceitful religious charity collects their payment for settling them.

And once their here, they will be able to bring in another twenty ‘family’ members each.

You are looking at another two hundred thousand of them coming here unless Trump can put a halt to it.

We Christians should call his bluff and demand to take all the Christian refugees. We can make the argument that there is an argument about admitting muslims, but there is less argument for the Christians, so let’s help the ones we can the fastest. If democrats object, it will expose them and their agenda, which is NOT about humanitarianism but about generating disparate voting blocs.

And as a bonus, they have no interest in chopping off our heads or blowing us up!

Surprisingly, Americans continue to incorrectly identify Barack Hussein’s religion as Muslim, even though we have been told repeatedly that Barack Hussein is a Christian. I cannot imagine why the American don’t take the media’s word for it.
