The FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton's secret server was dramatically re-opened after devices belonging to chief aide Huma Abedin and her estranged husband were seized during a probe into him sexting a 15-year-old girl.
In a move that sent shockwaves through both presidential campaigns, James Comey said in a letter to Congress that an investigative team is seeking to determine if any of the emails contain classified information and whether any of them are 'significant'.
The FBI swooped on Weiner and Abedin after DailyMail.com revealed that he had sent sexual messages to a 15-year-old, and he was placed under investigating by it and New York police.
The Weiner bombshell was revealed by the New York Times. The FBI investigation into Weiner was opened within days of DailyMail.com revealing how he sent sexually-charged messages and explicit pictures to a girl who he knew was 15.
With just 11 days until the presidential election, Clinton was on a plane with no WiFi coverage when the announcement was made. It is unclear if Abedin was by her side.
When she made her first public appearance in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, just an hour after news broke, she said nothing about the investigation.

Maybe Bill isn’t the only one with a crooked Weiner!
It’s all over but the coughing for the witch.
First, WikiLeaks. Now, WeinerLeaks.
Yep, all those meds and nothing to show for it...
This is what happens when an incompetent person hires incompetent people. The jig is up, Weiner.
Wouldn’t it be sweet justice if the bitch is derailed by a chain of events that the NYT instigated?
My fear is that it’s part of a cynical ploy to build it up in a very short time and then relieve the pressure by saying there is nothing there — giving a shot of momentum and something positive for Hillary to brag about.
For the life of me, I can’t figure out what they could possibly find on Wieners phone that would incriminate Hillary and force an reopening of the investigation.
The other thought is Comey and the FBI has taken so much heat for giving Hillary a pass that he finally came around one way or another (threats from other agents) that they’re using Weiner as a pretext to open the investigtion.
Finally, I wonder if Comey notified DOJ that he was re-opening the investigation. Wouldn’t it be lovely if he didn’t?
With Sex and Wiener there is no hiding Either!
They will find nothing significant and reclose.
The series “House of Cards” has nothing on the reality series “Election 2016”.
And to think just 3 short days ago Migraine Kelly over at Fox was trying to force Vice President Pence to admit that he and President Trump were about to receive a humiliating loss at the claws of the Dreaded hildaBEAST.
Hillary Clinton is the most corrupt politician in US history.
Bu Bu But President Trump said a naughty word over a decade ago, Bo hooo.
Hillary was wrong with her carefully crafted statement on evidence. I don’t have the exact words in front of me, but she said something like, “I do not believe there is any evidence of materials that were marked classified at the time in emails sent by me.”
The poor, deluded, sickly woman didn’t realize that the evidence is still out there, despite their best efforts to destroy all evidence. Her team didn’t BleachBit every device that had come in contact with her device (pretty close to the error Bill made after the inappropriate use of his own device).
I assume Hillary’s lawyer/spokeswoman will argue that someone else was using her account and there is no evidence showing which of her staffers made the “clerical error” in sending TS/SCI over a non-secure email. I assume the FBI Director will back her up. Still no proof of intent, since no amount of proof would suffice to prove criminal intent . . . not if someone is whispering “nice family you have, Director Comey, it would be a shame if . . .”
(Not that I am alleging such threats actually happened, just stating a hypothetical. Any similarity to the Clinton Crime Family’s standard method of operations in response to being caught in serious crimes is, no doubt, purely coincidental).

“...he was placed under investigating by it and New York police.”
Are they calling the 15-year-old an “it”?
How does it feel to be placed “under investigating”?
Journalism at its best.
And:
Apparently “the bombshell” (which was revealed by the New York Times) is different from “the investigation” (which was opened within days of the DailyMail.com revealing how he sent sexually-charged messages and explicit pictures to a girl who he knew was 15).
Dates would probably help clear this up for the reader.
That or similar would be my guess. Too much heat.
Comey decided his reputation is worth more than loyalty to Hillary Inc.
