Are there any Genesis fans here? Even though the Phil Collins era was not completely bad (as I like “And Then There Were Three” in particular), the Gabriel/Hackett era was still just that much better, as I have “Foxtrot” and “Selling England by the Pound” on original Charisma/Buddha vinyl.

I just got Phil’s autobiography, it’s amazing that The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway turned out to be so good in spite of all the turmoil that was going on when it was made.

I must say though, A Trick of the Tail, is my favorite Genesis album, really showed they could carry on without Gabriel. And I prefer Phil’s live version of “Supper’s Ready” over Gabriel’s.

Yes, BIG Genesis fan until “There Used to be Five”. Phil was a great drummer, but couldn’t much stand him out front (except maybe the tambourine dance). Never got to see them with Gabriel, but The Musical Box is a really good re-creation band. And Hackett on guitar is second only to —make that on a par with— Steve Howe. Do you know Camel?
