A Central Texas man who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl must serve 10 years of probation.
George Karns Jr., of Holland, Texas, was also sentenced Monday by a judge to 120 days in jail after earlier pleading guilty in the 2013 assault at his home.
The Temple Daily Telegram reports Karns, who was 17 during the incident, was initially charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

I always heard “15 will get you 20” when I was a young man. I guess times have changed!
The rapist’s lawyer accomplished the same result as Hillary Clinton when she helped out a rapist who also victimized a 12 y/o. This nonsense disgusts me. If you rape a 12 y/o, two decades is the lightest acceptable sentence, and even that is far too little.
His family must have connections. Justice is not blind or Hillary would be in prison.
So if you dont know the kid its 120 days, if you are the parent of the kid you get 400 years.
Do we have any real continuity of justice here anymore?
If I was father of the girl this is exactly the sentence I’d want.....
I remember as a young man, during locker room talk, that the guys would speak of jail bait, meaning underage girls.
Probation?
