IIRC, the poor guy that used to be shown in the old Ripley's ads ("1000+ lbs., buried in a piano crate...") was a case where a pituitary tumor started him down that path an an early age.

Probably not humanly possible for anyone to actually consume enough food everyday to get to and maintain that weight.
