What’s really interesting is how resilient the human body is, that these people can survive as long as they do. I occasionally see people on the street who are so fat that I wonder how their bones carry it all.
The human body is an amazing, adaptable, machine.
But I do believe that many seriously obese people have more than just an overeating problem. Some bodies just don’t deal with food the way that others do. I’ve seen unbelievably and dangerously thin people about whose bones I’ve wondered the same thing. They have a medical or genetic problem, not an ‘undereating’ problem.
You are probably correct because we are certainly not all alike in how our bodies respond to food.
