VANITY: YUUUUUUUUGE Early Voting Line in Broward County
Self | October 24, 2016 | PJ-Comix

(Note: I posted this on another thread about early voting in Florida but I think it needs a thread of its own.)

................................

Okay, I am now back from early voting at the Broward Country Library Tamarac Branch and I have some SHOCKING news.....

First of all I did NOT vote. Actually, as you shall see, this is GOOD news. The reason why I did NOT vote is that the line was BY FAR the largest I have ever seen it for early voting at this location. It was so large that it went thru the library and snaked out almost to the back door. I estimated the wait time to be around 2 hours. Maybe longer.

I have early voted at this same location several times before and the lines were NEVER close to being this long. In off year elections, the wait time is always zero to less than 5 minutes. In presidential elections, always less than 15 to 20 minutes. I didn't feel like waiting a couple of hours on that looooooong line especially since I didn't bring my cellphone headphones to listen to internet radio while waiting.

An elections official told me there were few people in the line when it opened at 7 A.M. and for about the first half hour so tomorrow I will be there at 7 to vote.

The GOOD NEWS is that any first time voting millennial who is sort of for Hillary will be bummed out waiting for over an hour on that looooooong line. I actually didn't spot anybody on that line that would even fit into that age group. Imagine the shock of a first time voter millennial seeing that line and realizing he/she would have to invest a couple hours waiting.

Well, tomorrow I will be there right at opening time at 7 AM to vote. But just in case, I will be bringing my headphones.

Do we really think HRC voters are going to crawl over broken glass, or stay two hours in line? Not likely judging from her rallies.

The long lines in a Dem stronghold may provide an answer to that question. The Dem GOTV machine is far superior to the GOP's.

After voting in Broward, they’ll head back to their Northern states and vote again. We have a 2nd home in Fort Lauderdale and the last time we were there I saw a slew of Trump signs.

yeah, am i missing the “good news” part?

I’ve said before, the kids and the blacks down show at rallies, but they vote.

I am praying the under 30 ####s stay home in big numbers.

Historically the kids don't vote. They came out for Obama, especially in '08, but I doubt she brings them out in the same neighbors.

The good news with this story is that part of the Trump effect is bringing out people who never vote or haven't voted in many elections. This could be what OP was seeing with the long lines.

Of course it could be a long line of the demon's highly motivated voters, but again I doubt it.

This is off-topic but I remember visiting that library a couple of times to do some research, since my parents retired to Tamarac. I found it a pretty depressing place, filled with elderly people reading one newspaper after another because they had nothing else to do. It’s one of the things that convinced me to never retire completely.

Bro ward is practically owned by the Commucrats. I know this from having lived there >50 years. Think DWS, Patrick Murphy and Alcee Hastings.

Ron Molina · University of Miami
Voted for Trump today in Miami-Dade county. Not a single Clinton sign near the poll.

Maybe for this election the most important question is were there as many men as women in line?

This isn’t good news depending on how much of the line to vote was made of parasites.

How is it “pro Hillary”?

You just superimposed Democrat area = Hillary vote.

We know that Trump supporters are the most excited, we know Trump has brought in tons of new voters, we know there is a significant Dem cross over, we know Trump won Florida in the primary handily, and we know that the observation points out that the people in line has few minorities and is skewing older.

But it’s “pro Hillary” because reasons.

That’s your problem if that’s your default.

I’m sure most of the votes on the line I saw goes for Crooked but the point is the percentage is probably going to be brought down by the number of motivated Trump supporters which is why that line was so loooooong. The longest I have ever seen for early voting at that location.

Broward is the democrat stronghold. This is NOT good news. Typically, dems run up the votes in Broward and the rest of the state (except for dare) is required to offset them with republican votes. The more Broward voting (dem stronghold) the more votes we’ll need in the rest of the State.
