Thank you for the reminder.

It confuses me to see Christians celebrating the pain and suffering of other sinners. Because we all are. Sinners.

You're correct. Some seem to believe that God assigns a point system to sin.

I am a Christian who admits to the sin of oftentimes hating those who wish to destroy God and those who love Him.

Which means I oftentimes hate homosexuals who hate God. And yes, I get a bit of schaudenfreud from it when God fights back against them and wins, such as when God lets satan pull a Job on the homosexuals via disease.

However, I confess this sin of hatred to God, ask for His forgiveness, then repent as much as I can, knowing all too well I will sin again, and thus, need God's help in overcoming my sinful nature.

Most Christians have this struggle. And God seems okay with it, knowing each of us is slowly changing for the better as we follow Christ.

God does not expect Christians to become sinless instantaneously. Otherwise, He wouldn't have asked us to continually confess our sins to Him and ask for His forgiveness.

Like all the jumping up and down and verbal back slapping that goes on when a condemned person is executed?

One can be pro death penalty without wallowing in victory when a human being is executed and even wishing that someone “burns in hell”. We do not and can not know anothers relationship with the Savior at the moment of that persons death.
