I refuse to have a defeatist attitude. We CAN make things better if we dont just quit.”
Not trying to be a defeatist. However, to make positive changes and restore integrity to our election process there is going to have to be agreement on the steps which need to be taken by citizens, businesses, educators and lawmakers on the state and national level and then follow-up to make sure it happens. Don’t see it happening in my lifetime, perhaps in my grandchildren’s.

I’m wayyyyyyyyyyyy old! But you are right about it being changed, I believe in 1970 or 1971. When I was eighteen we were allowed to vote in very local elections. Didn’t affect the outcome of much but did give us some exposure and experience in that arena.

Absentee ballot like you must do now. OR you would be home, with the day off.
Yeah, I gotta admit...this idea just doesn't make very much sense. It does away with the convenience and utility of early voting and replaces it with...an unpaid holiday for self-employed persons, one that they cannot even use if they are out of town on business on Election Day. I don't want to be Billy Buzzkill here, but this is just not a good proposal. Whoever came up with it just didn't think it through very well.
