All, one of the things we really need to know is where to tune into RELIABLE International and National news sources.
Mainstream media AM / FM sources are not entirely trustworthy as we’ve come to learn from wikileaks and election conduct.
BBC? meh
Are there trustworthy constitutionally minded news sources when things go out?
Oath keepers have a shortwave broadcast?
Not looking for Coast-to-coast rumor mill broadcasts.
Just something like a shortwave broadcast version of Matt Drudge, for example, to stay informed.

There are regular nets on most of the bands. There was one used to listen to with RV’ers checking in. There are regional nets. There is probably a list out there. When I monitor the HF bands I just scan around for conversations.
