Amends the Federal criminal code to prohibit any physician or other individual from knowingly performing a partial-birth abortion, except when necessary to save the life of a mother whose life is endangered by a physical disorder, illness, or injury.

Defines a "partial-birth abortion" as an abortion in which the person performing the abortion: (1) deliberately and intentionally vaginally delivers a living fetus until, in the case of a head-first presentation, the entire fetal head is outside the mother's body, or, in the case of a breech presentation, any part of the fetal trunk past the navel is outside the mother's body; and (2) performs the overt act, other than completion of delivery, that kills the partially delivered living fetus.

The reason democrats are being forced by PP to accept abortion thru the 3rd Trimester is because they want to avoid the following question: At what point during a pregnancy does the fetus become human.

For liberals it’s a losing question...because science points to conception.

When done properly abortion leaves one dead and one wounded for life.

The courts might say it’s legal...but slavery was once legal...the real test should be is it moral?

Rare? If democrats wanted less abortions they would support taxing abortions and using the extra money to promote abstinence. They would also agree to limit abortion to the first trimester.

If they really wanted it rare they would support over turning Roe v. Wade...and letting each state decide what is allowed.

I have to think that if Roe v Wade was overturned at least half the states would outlaw abortion w/ limited exceptions.

But suddenly that argument reveals their hypocrisy when the subject changes to abortion.

I recently had this conversation with a friend. A Catholic, who gave me the, “personally opposed” and “I would never have one” lines that are always followed by the “but I think women should have the choice and access to safe medical care if they choose an abortion.”

This conversation came about during a political discussion while sitting around at a rummage sale for the church, and was prompted by a letter from our bishop urging us not to vote to legalize pot.

Some of the ladies were offended that the bishop would try to tell us how to vote on an issue that should be a personal decision. I said that the same could be said about abortion.

So, the very nice lady said that legalizing abortion had saved the lives of thousands of women who would have had to go to a back alley doctor to get their abortion. I said that a woman seeking an abortion should have to go to such a place to get one and she was shocked.

I pointed out to her that Bernard Nathansan of NARAL founding, admitted to lying about the number of women who died from botched abortions. I then asked her how many babies had died from abortion since 1973. She wasn’t sure so I told her more than 60,000,000!

I then asked her if it was a fair exchange, a small number of women, versus millions of babies. She had to agree that in light of those numbers, legal abortion had claimed more lives than illegal abortions.

So, I thought I had her and was really working in the pro-life argument when she suddenly looks at me and says, “Well, the world probably couldn’t handle all those extra people anyway.”

You can’t fix stupid.

That's not stupid that's evil. Would she say the same about the holocaust?

Less than 3% of abortions since 1972 were reported to be “due to a risk to maternal health.” A reasonable person would recognize that not all of those cases represent a lethal risk. But let’s say they did. That means that nearly 60 million fetuses were butchered to save the lives of about 1.8 million women. Or put another way; 34 babies are killed to save each woman.

I don’t see her as evil, but certainly believe that she has fallen for the lies of the evil one. Like many liberal Catholics and other Christians, she foolishly believes a lot of the propaganda she has been fed by the media.

I didn’t give her those precise numbers, but was on the way to having her see how legal abortion has been more harmful than illegal abortion.

It was strange how this look just came over her before she made that incredible statement. That is Satan’s influence keeping her from seeing the truth.

I encounter this a lot when speaking with people about abortion. They get so close to getting it and then they shut down. They can’t let themselves admit they support something that is evil.

The liberals in this country have done so much damage to the American psyche that people who think themselves to be good and decent have to block their consciences when confronted.
