Not sure what state you are in but sometimes if you request an absentee ballot, they wont let you vote at the polling station, or at least you might wind up with a provisional ballot (which are counted last, if at all). If you requested an absentee ballot you might be better to send it in. Check for your local rules.

Thank you for the heads-up. I’m in FL. I have to take the ballot with me to the poll so they can destroy it — and I want SEE them destroy it:) Don’t want anyone casting it. Thank you again.
