Before being adopted, CC could be seen draped over Chewbacca in their kennel, according to the Animal Rescue League of Iowas Facebook page.
Pretty much every time we walk by their kennel, CC is either sitting on Chewy or draped over him or curled up against him, Animal Rescue League of Iowa spokesperson Jessica Jorgenson told The Dodo, an online publication that focuses on animal issues.

Talk about a mixed couple, lol. But this is so wonderful that someone was kind enough to keep them together. Glad the shelter recognized that and kept it as a condition for adoption.
Woof!
Here is Raleigh, animals that are together are referred to as ‘bonded pair’ and not allowed to be adopted separately.
Love it!
There are two at the Dumb Friends’ League in Denver that were taken out of a hoarder situation. Pedro and Dominic...chi/pug mixes. They have been at the shelter for long time. I hope they go together. They look to be brothers, and they keep each other company and give ccomfort to one another.
What kind of dog is Chewbacca?
Resembles a Newfoundland?
Thanks. He’s a nice looking dog.
Awwwwww,wonderful story!
The big dog looks like it might be a Newfiepoo which is a cross between a Newfoundland and a Poodle.
Dunno
I hand’t heard of that dog. It’s interesting that it’s ‘hypoallergenic’ and sheds little. Apparently a good family dog.
Same up by me.
Hopefully the big guy will come out of it with a new family, he looks very down.
Good.
The terrier is the dominant dog. You can bet on it.
love this kinda story and the dogs are OH SO MUCH PRETTIER than the beast...
It’s a Wookie.
Not to be confused with Moooooosehell...
They were adopted together.
