ON THE HIGH NEGATIVES OF BOTH TRUMP AND HILLARY
If worse comes to worse...whether Hillary or Trump is elected....The House of Representatives and the senate can examine both people at the time of the Electoral counts...decide neither one of them is fit for office and simply appoint a different president and vice president....it can happen theoretically as the means to do so is laid out in the constitution...You'd see a fusion choice from both parties as a compromise! I think that's what needs to happen here. The congress and the country needs to say " a pox on both Trump and Hillary" and alternative choices be made by the congress. It might not be as disruptive as one might think as the country can then turn away from sex scandals and money scandals..they can.choose a woman president even...if such a qualified person can be found. But definitely we should not choose these two up for election now! The country then can begin a period of healing and self examination and to begin to shore up and repair our failing institutions. The self examination has to begin with the premise that elections in our nation have really become mirrors of our selves and our lack of moral values. Trump and Hillary are really us! We collectively have put these two very flawed people in a place that they could possibly be president. We of the nation have become morally lazy and incompetent to run our own republic to have put such people near the levers of power. The enemy really isn't Hillary and it isn't Trump...it is us! We really ought to be ashamed of ourselves...we have become a nation in which our "skirts have been pull over our faces" and the nations around us mock us for having our nakedness exposed!
I am voting for Trump and holding my nose. Yet I am not blind to his flaws. I think the stench of murder, financial corruption, and global elitism surrounding the Clinton and her advocacy of child murder via abortion automatically disqualifies her!
God is holding a mirror up at us in the form of these two candidates and I am ashamed of myself and for this nation. Lord Jesus forgive me as I make this public confession!

Kind of stinks but as alternative to Hillary...maybe! The real issue for spiritual minded people is that we can “cast our lots into the lap, but it is God that decides the matter” Proverbs16:33. Think of our potential voting population as some 120 million king Davids many of which have violated the laws of God(in King David’s case he conducted an illegal type of census under the law though God’s motivation was to judge the people thru the clouding of the kings judgment).
Each voter shares in the voting of the government which means we suffer the mistakes our government makes and are the blame much more directly then simply if some far off king did horrible deeds! The candidates reflect us in the aggregate whole...they are a mirror of us! Trump offers us the best chance to reconstitute ourselves, to look in the mirror and perhaps repent and go in a better direction...maybe! But the going will be hard and I fear great hardships will be ahead! We can’t do it without God anyway.
Hillary’s policies will send us into national oblivion and so many are choosing her with no thought of the consequences as though the collective wisdom of many has been clouded. Two stark choices...two judgments have been laid before the people, both stinky enough for one to hesitate to choose which one shall be used to rub our noses with. Trump is actually the harder narrower choice because he has spoken the stark truth despite the fact that he is no great saint...so it is easier for me to vote for him. You have to go with one who speaks the truth no matter how unpretty or how unflattering his past life was! Hey...Moses murdered a man but at 80 years of age God used him to bring Israel out of bondage...so there is hope for Trump. He grasps the truth and speaks it starkly but he makes these promises I don’t think he’ll be able to fully keep without a full on national change of heart and restoration of purpose in the bulk of the populace!
The interest part of that story about Noah was not just the drunkenness but when Noah was in a drunken state he lay naked asleep and Ham saw his father’s nakedness and made fun of it with his brothers. The Bible doesn’t seem to pass so much judgment on Noah’s drunkeness as it does on Ham. His brothers went backwards with a covering to cover their father to hide his shame! Ham and his descendents were then cursed for what ham did while his brothers were blessed. in short actions had consequences for many millions down thru the ages. It is something each voter may need to keep in mind as they “cast their lot” into the lap! God may give us the government we voted for...good and hard!

In that case, if things go bad we do have the 2nd amendment. Yet we’d have to use it quickly and in the right order with Godly wisdom before they tried to weasel it away from us!

I have noticed it...but the populace is very polarized between the two candidates...throwing in a Pence for president and a lady democrat(like that one Dem congress woman who was a vet and seems to be a strong patriot) might lower the national steam a bit a give us breathing room while we clean the clocks of this Soros media liberal octopus that keeps “rubbing its hands all over the nation like an octopus, groping us where it ought not”! Hey did I not say I was voting Trump?
Even if the electoral college were tied, the Senate would have nothing to say about the selection of the POTUS - and the House would vote, not as individual congressmen, but by state - one vote per state.But in no case could the House vote for anyone who did not place at least third in the electoral college.
What you would have to argue for first is for at least one - preferably many, in order to prevent either primary party candidate from obtaining a majority - Electors to vote for your mythical “fusion choice.” Which means that you have to ‘fess up as to who you think this mythical creature is, by name.
You can’t do it; any name you put out as a “fusion candidate” would be laughed at. By just about everyone - possibly even by the person you named.
About which part...the congress intervention suggestion or the part about how the government and its presidential candidates are a reflection of the aggregate populace’s moral corruption before God?
The one part was simply a suggestion as to what to do with 2 candidates who for various different reasons may actually both be unfit for office despite the appeal of the promises they make to their “followers”. The founding fathers forsaw that this might happen and there are procedures for dealing with it...despite a deeply flawed congress as well...but our individual congress men are the one we have the most influence over as they are elected locally!
The only mechanism whereby your fantasy could be implemented, even partially, would be for the House to impeach, and the Senate to convict, the POTUS.In which case Pence (or Caine) would ascend to the presidency. Not some outsider. To get that, the new POTUS would have to also be impeached and convicted by a two thirds majority, and then the Speaker of the House would ascend.
The other process of course is to accept the college results unless there are proven frauds in the voting of the state electors in which case the electors of a given state can be disallowed. Then the president elect can be immediately be put up for impeachment.
I’m not saying it would be pretty...but our nation is now at an impasse with our enemies threatening nuclear war and Islamic terrorists threatening our internal security. Our nation is a state of moral disarray with no hope that God will favor our cause. So what do we do?
It has to do ultimately with the examination of the electoral votes, and ultimately immediate impeachment of the winner especially if the loser was so close in popular votes the population starts to come part at the seams!
If in case of an electoral tie that’s where the fun would start! I expect all sorts of shenanigans anyway..such as a stae going for Trump in the popular but some electors go for who ever they want.
Remember both candidates are very deeply flawed and a case for impeachment can and probably will be made for both of them!
