My sister in law was staying with us and I cooked something up in the Cast Iron skillet. I went outside to clean the grill, when I came back by beloved CI skillet was in the sink of hot soapy water and being scrubbed by my S-I-L.
I blurted out: "What are you doing??????????????"
In her typical 'blonde' fashion she said: "I'm cleaning your pan, it was filthy. Don't you ever clean it?"
She hasn't been invited back

Arrgh! That must have been infuriating. I have a 40-year cast-iron skillet that has never been touched by soap or detergent. It’s just getting good.
