“I’m with you; I don’t have any interest in inflicting pain on this predator. I don’t believe it is worth any risk to the innocent that might arise from giving him time either to reform or time to suffer. I’d like to see a fair trial and quick execution to put the matter in God’s hands.”

If that is what the courts hand down...then fine. Still though I want him to have a chance to confess his sins before he dies. To convert and become a christian, and be baptized. That would satisfy me. I want him to have the chance to avoid hell before he dies.

Perhaps I’m a skeptic, but I don’t believe a man who would rape a baby is capable of reform in the near future. As for giving him the decades that he would probably need to have any chance of seeing his actions as evil, I consider the risk to the innocent too large to accept.

If he manages to find God within the year or two that a quick execution would take, I would consider that a (literal) miracle, and I’m obviously okay with that. If not, I’m okay with that too.
