Love this song. Brings back many good memories from college days and road trips. Written by Dickey Betts.

Saw/heard them play this at my very first rock concert in the summer of ‘73. It was a truly mind-blowing experience.

Is the first music album I bought with my own money(babysitting). I was 14.

It still moves me this album.....every song!

“Live at the Filmore East” album cover pictured was/is the BEST live concert recording ever. Ramblin’ Man was, of course, from “Brothers and Sisters”.

Although Eat a Peach was released after Duane stupidly crashed his Sportster and ending his life, Brothers and Sisters was material generated by the Duane-less survivors. Dickey Betts easily filled the lead guitar role and adding Chuck Levell on piano was brilliant.

The movie The Exorcist included Ramblin Man in the background of a bar scene and for many it was a moment of "light" in a very dark movie!

Such a incredible band and with such humble roots.

I was 11/12 years old or thereabouts and a buddy and I were hanging out with his older brother. He put on Live at Fillmore East and my musical listening life was changed forever. Up until that point I had never heard anything like it, had no ideas what blues was, etc. That album changed everything.

Another ramblin’ song not heard often from 1970. From the movie “Paint Your Wagon”

Check out the “Reel to Real” series on AXS channel (owned by Mark Cuban, I know). They have two hours on the band that was enlightening.

The band had to endure the guitar band desert of the 1980’s until Stevie Ray Vaughn broke through. After that a renaissance, and a great live act.

Any Freepers going to “Oldchella”? PM me.
