Name the most BORING Movie You Ever Saw
Self | October 1, 2016 | PJ-Comix

A few days ago I watched the 2015 movie, "Steve Jobs" on the Tube. One word description: BORING!!! Despite great material to work with, it was one big borefest. Aaron Sorkin's scipt was largely to blame. It didn't feel like real people involved talking. It came off as a platform for SorkinSpeak. You can always tell a movie he has written. It has his peculiar SorkinSpeak which consists of rapid fire chit chat signifying nothing.

Okay, that is my idea of the most boring movie that I have ever seen. What is yours? Remember, this doesn't mean WORST movie, only most BORING movie.

Then English Patient.

It was boring but also completely pretentious. I wanted the Germans to come and bomb them all to smithereens.

I don't think anyone was more surprised than Kubrick was when he was filming an intimate scene with Kidman and Cruise when he realized the latter was gay. Kubrick had to instruct Cruise on how to be intimate with his own wife.

I’d be glad to share, but I can’t remember the names of them.

That killed the pairing of Hanks and Miss Facelift.

Anything written by and starring Adam Sandler. Potty humor gets old within seconds. In fact, there’s never been an Adam Sandler flick that I’ve ever been able to sit through all the way.

And don’t get me started on Seth Rogan.

DRIVE! - I am SO sorry I lost 90 minutes of my life on this - was TOTALLY boring. I just wanted to yell at the screen for whats-his-face “SAY SOMETHING!”

It’s true. “Lost in Translation” was boring. But it was nowhere near as boring as “The Descendants” (with George Clooney). I also though “The Kings Speech” was boring. My wife dragged me to go see both of those and she fell asleep both times.

Andy Kaufman spoofed it with “My Breakfast With Blassie.”

2001 a space odyssey was another I found myself yawning through, although I did like the Daisy, Daisy scene.

I really liked that movie. However, I have to tell you the funny reaction from my father. I begged him to watch it. I told him it was a great science fiction movie. Okay, after weeks of urging, he saw it and later angrily gave me this review:

"You are you an idiot!!! Stupidest damn movie I ever saw. First a bunch of monkeys are fighting each other and then one of them tosses a stick in the air that turns into a space ship. Then we see people landing on the moon and later a high pitch loud sound hits their eardrums and for some reason a couple of guys are on another spaceship going to Jupiter and a computer hijacks them.

"Then one of the space guys turns into a old man and the movie ends with a baby inside of a bubble circling Earth. It made absolutely NO SENSE and you are an IDIOT for talking me into wasting my time watching it!!!"

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.

An absolute snorer of a film. Who would of thought you could take two, tiny, bit characters from a Shakespeare play, and build an entire play around them - in an extistential "do I exist/is reality real?" kind of discussion?

These were both boring & lousy, Glengarry Glen Ross and Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr which had nothing to do with the Sherlock Holmes stories.

Worst TV show we ever tried to watch was Manhattan, talk about a lousy PC rewrite of history about Oppenheimer & the atomic bomb, it was horrible.

Expendables 2. The first one was barely tolerable, not sure why I even bothered starting the second. I think I made it 15 or 20 min in and flipped the channel.
