Too bad this isn’t DC Comics, where in one universe the U.S. Made Barry Allen (The Flash) a slave who ran on a hamster wheel to make electricity.

My mama always used to say, “Stupid is as stupid does.”

Oh, yeah? Well, my mama used to say, "Life is like a box of chocolates. Somebody else always seems to get the one you wanted, and the ones that are left either have a bite taken out of them or have been smashed down by their finger."

With apologies to Forrest Gump...

Wonder how much CA power is produced out of state so that they can claim to be green?

About 25% of California’s energy comes from outside the state.

As a side note to problems with electric cars, please consider the following.

The thread referenced below points out that electric cars are heavy as a consequence of batteries, their inertia causing problems.

Electric Vehicles Emit More Pollutants Than Fossil Fuel-Burning Cars

When you consider all variables I think that it can be proven that electric cars are far worse for the environment. The losses involved in charging the batteries and the tendency for batteries to lose energy in the form of heat as they age for example. Batteries also lose energy simply sitting around- especially when they get older. Then you have the fact that the batteries only last a few years and then they must be recycled and replaced. Lots of energy used there. Then you have energy losses in the miles of wires and transformers that make up the electrical grid that is used to charge the batteries.

And in a cold climate the effective Efficiency of an internal combustion automobile engine increases by a gigantic amount and does anyone know why? It is the same reason why and incandescent light bulb used inside a living space becomes 100% efficient in a cold environment.

It is because the heat losses are used to heat a space where heat is actually required for the human occupant.

Add electric heat to an electric car and see how far down the road you get.

It’s always something. Next complaint will be loss of tax revenue from falling gasoline and diesel sales.

Of course, the same is true here. Especially due to the increased range which will be required of e-venicles in the states, coupled with our ancient and about to collapse daily during the summer grid.

As is usual, libs and science are really really not friends.

At all.

Someone actually told me once that we don’t know how airplanes fly.

I tried to give her a very brief tutorial in aerodynamics.

Of course, liberal.
