Global warming milestone as scientists warn Earth has passed carbon tipping point 'for good'

Atmospheric carbon dioxide has reached a historic threshold as levels remain above 400 parts per million through the end of September – the point in which values typically drop to their lowest.

Climate scientists now warn that it’s ‘almost impossible’ that these numbers will fall next month, and likely won’t dip below 400ppm in the foreseeable future.

While there may be brief, daily events in which the levels fall short of this amount, monthly values are set to keep climbing as the ‘rising half of the cycle’ begins, when carbon dioxide could even break 410 ppm.

CLIMATE CHANGE IS ALREADY CAUSING DEATHS

A new study has revealed the dangers of climate change are already affecting humanity and led to the death of hundreds of people across Europe sixteen years ago. A heatwave in 2003 killed 506 people in Paris and 315 in London, experts have said in a new study.

A fifth of those deaths can be blamed on man-made pollution.

The study led by University of Oxford scientists said there were 315 heat-related deaths in London as Europe experienced its hottest summer on record, out of which 64 were caused by climate change.

The evidence is here and irrefutable, we're all going to die.........AGAIN!

BTW, there's a short video at the link of a woman farting in order to bring attention to "global warming", yada, yada, yada...

Well maybe they should not have flown all those private jets to the last global warming conference.

Well then. Since it’s hopeless and can’t be fixed, can we just do away with the EPA’s carbon plan?

What junk. We are about to enter into a new Ice Age. These “scientists” are either paid off or morons.

Good.

Maybe they will shut up now that we know we can’t do anything about it anyway.

Maybe the celebrities will stop living in bigger houses than they need and flying private jets.

No problem. 400 in base 16 is 258. So we just passed 258, so what?

Absolutely. We’re past the tipping point, it can’t be fixed! Then no point spending money to try. Save your money, cut all your long pants into shorts, and have a drink. It’s the only sane response.

Great news! If we’ve passed the tipping point, they can quit yapping about it.

A fifth of those deaths can be blamed on man-made pollution.

While pollution can and does kill, carbon dioxide is not a pollutant.

Frequently repeating the claim that heat waves occur because of carbon dioxide does not make it true. In the prehistoric past, carbon dioxide was present not in parts per million, but in percentages. Since that was the condition that led to life, it is rather difficult to claim that far lower concentrations will heat the earth (how?) to levels where life becomes impossible.

The schemes to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere are dangerous and constitute a direct threat to life on earth. CO2 is the basic building block of all life. When it is removed from the atmosphere, it is really being removed from the biomass--the agglomerate term for all life on earth. Plants need the CO2 to survive and convert it to the biomolecules that every other living organism needs to survive.

I really wish these "global warming" fearmongers would take the time to learn about the carbon cycle before they spout off any more ignorant rubbish. I suspect that many of the drivers of "global warming" hysteria are perfectly aware of the central role of CO2 in maintaining life--and that their end game is actually extinction of all life.

The significance of CO2 crossing 400 will be just as catastrophic as the year was crossing 2000 - zero. A SCIENTIFIC “tipping point” would in all probability be a number with several different digits, followed by a decimal point and any number of more digits. 400 is a political point, not a scientific point, and that’s all you need to know. Real scientists didn’t participate in the selection of 400. Real journalists wouldn’t write about it, either.

It’s all the blasted trees the tree huggers planted. Allow for more harvesting of mature trees and problem solved:

“Mature trees in both tropical rainforests and coniferous forests across Alaska, Canada and northern states give off more carbon dioxide than they take in. However, newly planted, growing forests in China and Europe take in more carbon dioxide than they give off. Regular thinning of tree stands can cause them to use more carbon dioxide and give off less of it.”

CO2 was higher in the past
“The killer proof that CO2 does not drive climate is to be found during the Ordovician- Silurian and the Jurassic-Cretaceous periods when CO2 levels were greater than 4000 ppmv (parts per million by volume) and about 2000 ppmv respectively. If the IPCC theory is correct there should have been runaway greenhouse induced global warming during these periods but instead there was glaciation.”
