Politics (and comedy) aside, Andy Griffin show was very much along those lines.

I recall having a run in with a county Mountie back in the day, that while not pleasant, didnt result in any kind of record.

A youthful indiscretion, if you will. No malice on my part - nothing serious either. Two sheriffs, one older with the buzz cut that wanted to run us in, and the younger one, who collared us, cutting us some slack.

It was a different world back then.

So, the US justice system is like Nazi Germany? BLM rally is over that way.

Overlooking criminals with outstanding warrants (they don’t just magically appear without due process) is not what I normally condone.

Yeah. Revenue collection was not the top priority for the large majority of them, back then. Not like today.
