Of course, you are right. However, the Civil was did lead to the end of slavery in this country.
There are those who believe that WITHOUT the Civil War, slavery would have ended years later on its own, probably due to the introduction of MECHANIZED farm work, which eliminated the need for large numbers of field hands.
In any even, slavery thankfully ended 151 years ago

Well how do cousin? Ain’t seen you ‘round these parts lately. No from Lincolns point of view the war wasn’t about slavery. But from the South’s point of view it sure as hell was.
