I wonder if Conservative media has to operate from Dark Net at some point in future. First driven out from MSM, then from big Internet sites by liberals(that is how FR was born. Founders of FR were driven out from Prodigy, as far as I know.) Now we see the emergence of concerted efforts to sanitize Internet by “weeding out” sites which propagate “groundless claims and inaccurate information.”

With the ability to link by WIFI from phone-to-phone, known as Wifi-Direct or other branding, a directly linked network is possible between interested parties within point-to-point range. With sufficient participation in a densely populated area (suburbs), uninterrupted connections should be feasible. Wifi range extension techniques can extend the coverage available in more sparse populations. This can allow continued communications within pocket networks, if the internet and cellular tower links were to shut down. Isolated Cantenna have allowed wifi links up to tens of miles under ideal conditions.

Access by a percentage of the members of this peer-to-peer network group to outside connections (WWW), would allow interaction by all with the wider world. These nodes would be tasked with a substantial traffic up and down between the two networks. Several possibilities are near-ready for connecting to internet outside of the traditional option of Cable, DSL, and Hughsnet. Accessing WWW through an independent connection not influenced by the country of residence would greatly lessen the options for censure of communication. (Note that many computers can be software upgraded to communicate within an Ad-hoc WIFI network, not relegated to link only with a WIFI router hot-spot as traditionally has been done.)
