I love Autumn,the weather changes,the leaves turn,This is mine.
Bobby Goldsboro - Autumn of My Life - TV Show (Live)
Listen to Eve Cassidy’s flawless acoustic rendition of the classic ‘Autumn Leaves’. Listen in headphones if you can, to enjoy every subtle nuance and her powerful emotion. Eve passed away at a young age about 15 years ago. Basically it’s her voice and her guitar, live in a small club.
Her voice is quite truly of angels—pure gift from God, and yes I’m being hyperbolic, but listen to her and I’m sure you’ll understand. She has perfect pitch, perfect tone in quiet vocalizing and she can pound it too. Perfect tone, phrasing, feel.
And she is one of the very finest acoustic guitar players I’ve ever heard. Please, if you listen to one song on this thread that you haven’t heard, Youtube her and prepare to fall in love with her incredible talent. She’s not a beautiful woman, and that’s likely why she became a star only after her death. But this version of Autumn Leaves is the best...
At one point in our lives my husband and I had a business in a very wealthy Great Lakes tourist town. All of our friends also had businesses that catered to the tourists, and when fall came and they all left it was like we had our little community back. Every time I hear this song it takes me back to that time in our lives, and for many reasons it is a very bittersweet song for me. Jimmy Buffet’s “When the Coast is Clear”

Absolutely, one of the greatest. Sorry I missed your posts, I posted my feelings about this version just a minute ago. Love, love, love it.

Everybody has a version, this is the one I like best:

Good song,never heard it.
“Autumn In New York’’.
Nice!
Wilson Phillips has a version of “California Dreamin” that’s a nice tribute.
If you all get a chance to see them live, don’t pass it up. Interestingly, they are 10X better live than their YouTube videos. Many of their respective parents’ hits make the show a must see, IMO. The harmony in the 2015 show I attended was spot on.
