Hey, she’s a reiki therapist!!
An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an “attunement” given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of “life force energy” to improve one’s health and enhance the quality of life.
Sounds like she needs a refresher course or some continuing ed...cause Reiki done lost her number.
Reiki is a non-scientific and very questionable spiritual practice. She does not seem to be under the influence of “good spirits”. By their fruits you shall know them.
Very good paper about Reiki on www.usccb.org website. It concludes with..
Without justification either from Christian faith or natural science, however, a Catholic who puts his or her trust in Reiki would be operating in the realm of superstition, the no-man’s-land that is neither faith nor science. Superstition corrupts one’s worship of God by turning one’s religious feeling and practice in a false direction.
