Good point.

I’ve made a couple of observations about Conservatives over the last 20 years.

1. We fight by the Marquess of Queensberry rules while the other side street-fights dirty.

2. The left is relentless. They take their time and work the ball down the field. They don’t care about anything but winning and they don’t care how big or small the win. They take it and push, push, push for the next goal.

Every play conservatives make is for a TD. Every. Single. One.

I’ve tried (in vain) to push for conservative support for small things - like a ban on all abortions over 20 weeks, unless the life of the mother is threatened, and - if the baby is viable -the drs must try to save the baby too.

Freepers ate me alive. “What? You’re all right with a 19 week old fetus being ripped apart?”

No. But we’ve got to start somewhere.

All-or-nothing. That’s the conservative way. We’re insisting that people ‘maintain low tones’ and mind their manners while Rome burns to the ground around them.

We play so that we can stand on our principles with our noses in the air and it all go to hell before we get our cuffs dirty.

The left has been at war while we pontificated.

It’s time that we put on our damn boots and WIN THE WAR.

To put it another way: We’ve self-imposed Rules of Engagement on ourselves while the terrorists slaughter us at every turn. We’ve got superior fire-power and we’re the better team, but we want war to be civilized.

The enemy doesn’t care.
