That’s a good point, though it doesn’t necessarily mean there was no sunlight. With all of the tall buildings, much of lower Manhattan is in shadows even on clear days.

I would agree with that. I did try to note any cloud cover in the photos, and as I recall it did look fairly overcast in some I saw. I’d have to check back to make sure. I believe I saw the clouds.
