The Miami Dolphins held a players-only meeting Friday to discuss a possible demonstration against racial inequality during the national anthem in their season opener.

Sunday marks 15 years since the September 11th terror attacks. Families will mourn lost loved ones. Americans across the country will pause to reflect on one of the most horrific days in our history.

Isn't is typical Leftist thugery that what started as individuals doing their own thing now has almost become mandatory. Now Seattle and Miami are going to protest as a team regardless of an individual's opinion. It is a certainty that players will be doing the protest under duress. What is saying about what is not prohibited becomes compulsory.

Didn’t we just read that the Seahawks are planning to do the same, on 9/11?

Shameful and disgusting.

The fans should turn their backs to these idiots, and boo them off the field...

The “fans” shouldn’t show up if they truly want to make a statement.

When Kaperdick sat like a loser during the Anthem that first time I decided I would take this year off as far as the NFL is concerned, to go along with my lifetime ban of espn.

Every team that allows a demonstration, or allows a player, without penalty, to protest, I will no longer watch.

This will absolutely kill the NFL, if it persists.
I know there’s not a lot of love here for my Patriots, but I’m guessing that anyone trying to pull this crap on Belichick will find themselves benched for the season.

Should they personally disgrace themselves and dishonor America on the 15th anniversary of 9/11 and beyond; These spoiled, spiteful, America hating, racist thugs will permanently alienate their fan base and destroy the NFL.

If the chairman, team owners, and coaches of the NFL do not put an immediate halt to this wicked nonsense by severely punishing, suspending, and financially fining everyone of the players involved in their disgraceful, anti-American display, I am through with watching the NFL and will personally boycott those advertising their products during the games.

The stadiums should empty out. And grown men should stop buying their merchandise. Nothing looks dumber than a 40 year old wearing an NFL jersey of their “hero”.

Ask them to go to ANY African country and ask the first 100 people they meet if they would be willing to board a plane waiting to take them to the oppressive racist United States

Then get out of the way before they are trampled in the rush

Funny. I did the same. I am going back to watching the NHL. Will get rid of my football package after the weekend and pick up the NHL package.

Agreed. The only jersey that I would consider buying is the #15 of Florida State - Travis Rudolph. on a second topic, if the players want racial equality, how about if we "balance out' the rosters? Bet they wouldn't stand up to that.

I won’t know what they do because I won’t be watching.

Stop giving them your money.
When they have to get real jobs, they might be more appreciative of what they had.

A huge chunk of the NFL interest is from gambling. That won’t change regardless of this distasteful behavior. That said the NFL doesn’t hold a monopoly on leisure activities and there is a big wide world out there for alternatives.

I will watch these game. I will note the behavior of the athletes during the national anthem. I will list all the national sponsors of the broadcast, and then I’ll communicate with each one about the termination of my patronage.

Bread and circuses, FRiend. IMO, they are poking the honest’s nest.

Truth is, I couldn’t care less...if I, as a taxpayer, weren’t roped into funding these assholes. TRUE market forces would be correcting this in short time. Alas, we don’t have a Free Market.
