Actually, the National Enquirer has a pretty good accuracy rating on a few stories. It’s been wrong on a few things, but wildly accurate on others. On certain stories it has a higher accuracy rating than the NY Times, notably John Edwards and OJ Simpson.
It was the first to find a picture of OJ in the shoes he swore he never owned. On certain stories of this level, I’d trust them over the WaPo and NYTimes. And they have a different kind of source.
Something that even low information voters can get while standing on lines for government cheese.
The one about aliens abduct Reagan’s body was a bit far fetched, but who knows, might be true.
