This exactly. Lauer interrupted Trump a bunch and even defended Hillary a few times.
It worked to Trump's advantage. He was very presidential in a hostile environment.
With Clinton Lauer asked the tough questions but let her drone on and on, didn't challenge her answers and wasn't combative.

I second your point about the moderator, Mr K. However, I can not verify your point about the liar since I turned the program off when it was her turn and only turned it back on when President Trump was about to speak. I agree, he did great.

More Democrats picked to ask Trump questions that I have a recall meeting during my time in the service. It was clearly a stacked audience. With that being said, trump did very well. Matt Lauer was a typical insufferable liberal ass.
Trump was great. Clinton wasn’t good. Lauer looked like a paid Clinton staffer. If Trump is this good in the debates he’ll win by 10 points.

How did Matt happen to have a Trump tweet about military sexual assault from several years ago when he was asked a question on that topic? Sounds like Matt was pulling a Candy Crowley.
Matt had a gotcha when someone asked about female rape, Matt had a tweet already from TRUMP to try & trip him up but TRUMP did pretty good
I sorta’ watched...couldn’t take it.....How is it that all of these venues are set up and controlled by Liberal Media? HOW????
Crowd was stacked....the Beast almost got a Standing O when she walked in...Trump not so much...camera panned large swaths not clapping at all, dour faces...unreal.
What courage for him to even go in there....the only silver lining is that it will be good prep for the debates, which will be more of same.

Matt “interrupted” Hillary only in an effort to get her to wind up her very long answers. Other than that, the floor was hers.
Matt really did challenge Trump on almost every little thing. Constantly implying that Trump lacked the experience to do the job (Hillary has 30 years experience at this stuff was the message). Also, Matt really did jump in and defend Hillary on more than one occasion.
Also note: The media person holding the microphone for servicemen and women in the audience introduced one person as “A Republican — but he’s leaning toward you, Mr. Trump.” I thought: what an odd thing to say.
