I think .260 Rem in a .308-size AR platform would be about perfect out to 1,000 yards. If I lived in TX and had a few grand to lay out for a Larue....
Just got an email from Brandon Hall at Larue a few days ago. Forwarding it to your email ...... they are building barrels for LaRue PredatOBR’s soon..... barrels only. Been hounding them since I got mine with a match and standard 7.62x51 barrels....... a few grand ? Try 4 grand, then throw a Schmidt ‘n Bender, Nightforce or Leupold Mk 6 or Mk 8 scope into the added cost. Mine wears a Nightforce 5-25X ATACR that was the cheapest of the four mentioned......:o)
