When light take 1500 years to reach us, it may be distorted.

Then what of all the thousands of other objects observed where so-called "old light" apparently doesn't get distorted? 1500 light years of course is nothing compared to millions or billions of light years.

I bet there is dark matter there and they built the sphere because of global warming I mean, climate change. They’ll keep evolving though, and make it

“If it was a complete Dyson Sphere we would not be able to see the star.”

Wouldn’t they have to leave a hole for the smoke to get out?

Aliens are getting closer and closer, blocking out other stars and such.

It could also be a binary system with a brown dwarf obscuring the star.
