Anti-Trump Republicans to launch swing-state ad buy

Anti-Trump Republicans are preparing to launch a broadcast TV ad in a handful of swing-state suburbs urging Donald Trump to quit the presidential race so the party can replace him with a more electable nominee.

The ad, titled "Keep Your Word," features footage of Trump during the Republican primary in which he suggested he'd drop out if he saw his poll numbers decline.

The 30-second spot is marked for a limited run on broadcast networks in suburban Florida, Virginia, Ohio and Michigan, according to Regina Thomson, a Colorado Republican activist and leader of Free the Delegates, the organization that failed to stop Trump's nomination at last month's national convention.

If the #neverTrump idiots actually run these ads it will only ...
1. Energize Trump’s base by infuriating them even more against the establishment
2. Show Hillary to be a member of the Uniparty status quo.
3. Show Trumo to be the true outsider

In a word, these ads will backfire on the rat bastards.

Cruz didn’t just burn his bridges, he set himself on fire. I’ll contribute to whoever his opponent is.

Cruz has shown himself to be a liar and without honor.

Where are all these people on FR who chastised anyone who even thought of staying home when McCain or Romney was too distasteful to pull the lever for?

While I never publicly chastised anyone, I was in agreement with those that did. I am so, so sorry. If Trump loses, my 40 years of voting Republican will come to an end. In fact, I'll just find something to replace politics to fill my idle time.

This election is our last, best chance to restore our government to one representative of American citizens peacefully. These GOPe traitors know this, but are putting themselves above country. I will neither forget, or forgive.

Trump already preached it at one of his latest rallies. He had the words appear on the screen [SHAME ON YOU] while he was making the statement .. calling out the media and the Hillary liberals for their lies and hiding of Hillary’s true information.

It was awesome.

These current squishy Republicans are too scared to call out the left. What a bunch of babies.

I’ve taken to calling them Pampered Poodles.

The same people who’ve spent the last several months trying to job Donald Trump out of the nomination even if he won it, and then cheered as Ted Cruz, John Kasich and some convention delegates went back on their promise to support the nominee because it was somebody they didn’t like are now running on “keep your word”? That’s rich.

Don’t they ever learn? Everything they do fails and makes them look really stupid to the few people who are paying attention to them.

I think New Hampshire is considered a battleground this year so we’re likely to see the ad on Boston TV...which serves the most heavily populated part of the state.

Just think where Trump could be if he didn’t have to spend the entire election cycle contending with so many unprincipled, hypocritical Republicans stabbing him and the party in the back, in their efforts to get Hillary elected. If Trump loses, we will never forget nor forgive the traitorous faux conservatives who did the Dem’s dirty work, helping to usher in decades of a left-wing supermajority on the Supreme Court and tons of leftist policies. Unfortunately, those on our side are just as eager to stay on the corrupt globalist gravy train as the Dems.

Of course, the “Free the Delegates” push was the most banana republic middle finger to the voters I’ve ever heard of in this country in my lifetime. These people have already proven they have total contempt for voters and are more than willing to overturn elections to get their way. I would fear immoral people like this ever getting their hands on power, as they have shown they have the hallmark of dictators who don’t care in the least what their people want or even believe in elections were regular citizens can have a voice. Power at all cost is a disturbing strategy.

It’s unfortunate to even be in the same party with these types. And even more disturbingly a lot of these immoral hypocrites tout their great piety and religiosity in their best Jimmy Swaggart televangelist routines. They are not only working hard on behalf of the left while pretending to be conservatives, they are also giving Christians a bad name.

Neo-cons are liberals. They only left the Dem party over Vietnam. Most of their opinions have remained left-leaning.

I think what they are trying to do is paint Hillary as an inevitable winner, so that it will help her win more of the squishy undecideds who like to go with the winner. They want the narrative to take hold that Trump can’t win to depress his turnout and scare people away from the “loser.”

Clearly, they want Hillary to win big in an attempt to make Cruz’s traitorous screw-up look smart and so that he can try again in four years (while we get a 7-2 leftwing majority on the Court and voting rights for millions of illegals in the meanwhile). Since he’s alienated most conservatives, I have no idea who they think will vote for him. There aren’t enough Never Trump Cruz cultists who believe he was ordained by God to lead Americans to the promised land to get him elected to anything nationally. If Perry or someone else prominent decides to challenge him in the primaries in 2018, he won’t even keep his Senate seat. The more antics he and his devotees keep pulling, the less likely he will have any sort of real future in politics.
