I tried using several cans of Flex Seal on the roof of a truck camper that I once had. Didn’t work worth a hoot. Roof still leaked like a sieve.

Find a product called “F-26” and that hummingbird feeder will never come apart again.

I don’t have a boat but I did once that would have been a good test. Leaked like a sieve. Ended up junking it.

I butted two pieces of 3/4 x 6 oak leftovers together to make a piece that was exactly 12x12. I clamped it, not too firmly, and let it sit for two days.

Put it between a couple cinder blocks and pulled out the 10lb sledge.

Broke along the wood grain, NOT the glue joint. It could have been just the way I hit it, but I figure a good wood glue joint is just as strong, or stronger, than the wood.

I’d like to know where to get the big sheets of adhesive tape that NASCAR pit crews use to repair damaged cars.

And it is only $19.99

But wait! There’s more...

Plus separate shipping and handling...

They probably “uberclamped” it and squished all the glue from the joint. I find you need to clamp it just firmly, so there is enough glue to form a complete occlusive seal. Some guys I know use .010” glass beads in their glue, to keep that thin layer from being squeezed out.

http://www.racerstape.com/heli.html

It is called “Helicopter Tape” and was originally designed to coat the leading edges of helicopter rotors to stop pitting from airborne debris.

The only thing I’ve ever been able to glue together with SuperGlue is my fingers.

used it on the bottom of my fishing boat, it stopped the leak. I had a couple of days with no leak. Last trip out had to use the bailer again. I think it came off when putting the boat in and out with the trailer. 40 yr old fiberglass boat is due for a replacement.

At work we kept super glue in the fridge. It seemed to keep it from getting hard.

I know the laser glue pen doesn’t work

I had a feeling it wouldn't. And that is a shame, because there's an idea whose time has come.

From the ad, it appears as though you'd get a durable fix on small tasks almost immediately, and then be done with the chore.

It works if folks use it correctly. Some problems can be averted by 1) degreasing the surface, and 2) using enough spray to cover gaps. However, it stinks like bloomin crazy, thus should be for outdoor use only, unless on an object you can sun for a couple of days. I take a chance on new stuff now n then out of my entertainment budget. ☺

“Plus separate shipping and handling...”

BINGO! That is where they make their money. They know that the product is crap.

My rule of thumb is that if it is advertised on UHF or cable channel TV, don’t buy it!

I’ve used the spray on a garbage can, and it is still sealed. Just bought a can of the liquid to seal something else so will have to let you know.

And yes, I do own a caulking gun, just wanted to try the product.
