Run it under some hot water, wipe it off, and if it still won’t open take a kitchen knife and tap around the outside edge of the lid. It’ll come off.
We have this rubber jar opener we got from our insurance agent. On side is smooth the other side has these small pimple things. It works amazingly well. It grabs any size lid and it opens with ease.
