Her whole career has had cleanup crews hiding her tracks. It’s what the Clintons do best. Wonder if Lerner knew of the tool. That why you issue subpoenas and warrants..crash those doors and seize assets before they have time to erase. There are record retention requirements for govrnment . Damn this woman and her legions.

Yes, but Nixon was a republican, and we all know that republicans are evil. That’s all that matters. /s

When I get rid of an old PC, I remove the hard drive, drill a 1/4” home through it and then drop it in a poly bucket of battery acid over night. I can pretty much guarantee that nothing survives for ID thieves to get hold of.
What is this BleachBit thay are talking about?

I had a conversation with my brother who doesn’t understand the criticism against Hillary Clinton and asked me to explain it to him. (He was discussing it with a liberal who maintains she broke no laws, and that this is a witch hunt. I agree this is a Witch Hunt, as it damn well should be) I just sent him this:

FBI Admits Hillary Used BleachBit Software Designed to ‘Hide Traces Of’ Deleted Emails (from Gateway Pundit)

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) told America’s Newsroom on Thursday that Hillary Clinton used BleachBit software to hide all traces of her deleted emails.

According BleachBit goes beyond simply deleting files, BleachBit includes advanced features such as shredding files to prevent recovery, wiping free disk space to hide traces of files deleted by other applications, and vacuuming Firefox to make it faster. Better than free, BleachBit is open source.

Zero Hedge reported: During his appearance on Fox, Gowdy clearly indicates that Clinton’s use of BleachBit undermines her claims that she only deleted innocuous “personal” emails from her private server. “If she considered them to be personal, then she and her lawyers had those emails deleted. They didn’t just push the delete button, they had them deleted where even God can’t read them. “They were using something called BleachBit. You don’t use BleachBit for yoga emails.”
“When you’re using BleachBit, it is something you really do not want the world to see.” Gowdy also questioned whether Hillary considered “Clinton Foundation” emails to be “personal” and, if not, asked why the FBI’s investigation revealed minimal emails about Foundation-related topics.

Here is the Federal Law that was broken: 18 U.S. Code § 2071

(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

(b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.

This is a federal law, and is applicable to all Federal agencies. It is very clear cut.

As an interesting aside, try Googling Hillary Clinton Bleachbit…if you do, notice what you DON’T see in there. You don’t see links to NBC, ABC, CBS, Washington Post, NYT, Boston Globe, etc.

There are record retention requirements for government.

That's what got Nixon in the Watergate scandal--the erasure of those 18 minutes of tape was a HUGE factor in forcing him out. And now Hillary is using tools to cover up her illegal activities on behalf the Clinton Foundation. No wonder why several MSM outlets have openly told her to shut down the Foundation before it blows up into a gigantic mess that could take town much of the Democratic Party with it.

Yeah. See my post at #67 (before I saw yours) I was explaining to my brother last night how the gloves are off in this election, and the libs and MSM are no longer even worried about maintaining some faux air of impartiality.

That’s all gone. They are in full blown advocacy, because (as they use to justify every single scrap of filth) they feel that is in the “best interests of society” that Donald Trump not get elected.

So they have gone full bore in talking about how dangerous, unbalanced, and unfit Donald Trump is, actually comparing him on occasion to an example of a sensible and moderate Republican like Ronald Reagan (hilariously, to those of us who actually remember the 1980 and 1984 elections where Reagan was elected to such vitriolic opposition), to actually suppressing any bad news about their candidate, who is a filthy, corrupt, lying, stinking, anti-American criminal.

Oh, well, yeah. She intended to erase stuff, but she didn’t intend to mishandle anything marked classified; and that’s the matter we were looking into.

The story at CNN Money is claiming that BleachBit is just an innocuous program for freeing up disk space. “No red flags.” http://money.cnn.com/2016/08/26/technology/hillary-clinton-bleachbit/index.html
