He can't do that. The NFL and the players association created a template for rookie contracts. There isn't a huge range of what a player can get, at least for the first few rounds.

Wonder if Bosa can challenge this in court, he could be the NFL's "Curt Flood."

The weird thing is that this is the major thing the NFL and the Players Association agreed on.

It's supposed to make everyone happy. Rookies used to have no restrictions. (Except they had to sign with the team that drafted the. See John Elway) This was supposed to make things right. San Diego is the only team that can't play by the rules.
